Eames Demetrios viaja por el mundo instalando placas de bronce y monumentos históricos que describen sucesos de un universo ficticio llamado Kcymaerxtharere. El proyecto es como una novela, cuyos capítulos se encuentran dispersos por el mundo. Lo que uno ve y siente en los diferentes lugares durante la lectura de las placas, influencia doblemente el sentido del contenido y el continente.
Ya sea con una simple placa de bronce o con la ayuda de una instalación, Demetrios, geógrafo de otro mundo, nos enseña que es posible contemplar las cosas a través de otras categorías narrativas y espacio‐temporales; la autoridad de la letra escrita.

Aunque el proyecto está aún en fase de crecimiento, Kcymaerxthaere es ya la obra de arte de mayor escala sobre el planeta, abarcando ocho países e infinidad de emplazamientos. Recientemente espaciovalverde ha instalado dos placas en nuestro país, una en Pedraza (Segovia) y otra en Losana (Soria). Y hay un proyecto en marcha para instalar una en pleno centro de madrid.

Nieto de los prestigiosos diseñadores Charles y Ray Eames referente imprescindible en el diseño del siglo XX, (su labor alcanza campos tan heterogéneos como la innovación arquitectónica, la difusión de las ciencias y el trabajo en el intercambio cultural en una época tan difícil como la guerra fría) Demetrios dirije actualmente la Eames Foundation asegurando el mantenimiento y desarrollo del legado de sus abuelos. Simultáneamente desarrolla su propia obra artística que incluye películas, instalaciones, acciones y conferencias.

Experiencia profesional

Filmmaker (1982 to present) For 25 years, I have made films and videos ranging from 2 minutes to 2 hours long. The ones in the project list below are ones where I had creative control and which I consider part of my body of work as an artist. In the late '80s, I made a small number of industrials I consider to be of little importance, though they developed skills. In general, I was the director, cameraman, producer and writer on all the films indicated below. I was often the editor as well, not so much on the recent work.

Director, Eames Office (1991 to Present) My longest contiguous business endeavor has been running the team at the Eames Office as we com-
municate, preserve and extend the work of Charles and Ray Eames.
Achievements include:
* numerous design educational initiatives, introducing a new generation to the ideas behind the famous objects
* an exhibition co-ordinated by the Library of Congress and the Vitra Design Museum that traveled for 9 years to 3 continents.
* working with the manufacturers in a hands-on way to ensure the authenticity of the Eames furniture designs
* organizing and designing a traveling, site-specific exhibition based on the Powers of Ten concept. 8 venues in 4 countries.
* restoring and reissuing the Eames films on video and DVD * preserving the Eames House for future generations * licensing of numerous quality products. * contributions to numerous books and other publications
